GUTS Motor Tour

We are absolutely delighted to announce that we raised an incredible £8,170 from the 2024 GUTS Motor Tour, which ran in September. This annual event for drivers and passengers of classic cars was as fabulous as ever, and we were blessed with great weather too!

Many thanks to all our participants who joined us in 75 beautiful cars, our volunteers, sponsors, hosts and supporters for making the 21^st anniversary running of the Motor Tour such a success. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Our stated aim as a charity is to improve bowel cancer survival and that refers not just to quantity but quality of life too. This year the money raised by the Motor Tour will be helping us fund our new project, providing a service to help people with the various issues that can result from bowel cancer treatment. Some of these are physical problems which may be only temporary but there can be longer-term impacts too. With an increasing number of younger people now receiving bowel cancer treatment, children and other family members may need support too. This is where our new service will come in, providing practical, honest advice to help recovering patients and their families get on with the rest of their lives.

Plans for the 2025 Motor Tour are already underway, and we are delighted to announce it will run on Sunday 7 September. If you are interested in taking part, please email gutsmotortour@gmail.com to be added to the database.

Watch this space, and we very much hope to welcome participants to another great day of motoring and camaraderie, whilst helping to raise more vital funds for GUTS – Fighting Bowel Cancer.
