The fairytale buildings of Horsley Towers were once home to mathematician Ada Lovelace.
Are you currently undergoing treatment for bowel cancer? If so, we’d like to treat you a few hours of relaxation, creativity and learning.
This is a day where you do much or as little as you wish. It’s not just about lifting your spirits (although that’s an important part of it), we will have practical support and suggestions from experts and fellow patients to help you deal with treatment and side effects, as well as complimentary therapies to support you in mind and body.
What’s on offer
Participants will be able to choose from a range of therapies and activities, including massage, reflexology, deep relaxation techniques, walking in nature therapy and an art session. Lunch will be provided.
We will also have talking and listening sessions with experts on hand to answer any general questions about treatment and recovery. Perhaps the greatest value will be that participants will get to hear, share and benefit from each other’s first-hand experiences.
It all takes place in the luxurious surroundings of the De Vere Horsley Towers Estate in Surrey, with lunch and all refreshments included.
Further info
One friend/family member/carer is welcome to accompany each patient and they will also able to participate in any activity, as capacity allows (patients will have first call on those activities with limited numbers of places).
There is no charge for the day or any of the activities. Those coming from further afield can take advantage of preferential rates kindly offered by the hotel.
To register your interest, please get in touch. We will send you a short questionnaire to help us tailor the day to your needs and interests. After all, it is all about you!
