If you have taken part in bowel cancer screening and have received a letter asking you to attend a colonoscopy appointment, this doesn’t mean you have bowel cancer. Blood has been detected in your poo sample, and the colonoscopy will help find out why.
Once the colonoscopy has happened, maybe with some other tests, you will find out if you have bowel cancer.
